Self-isolation in a royal way: the monarch of Thailand quarantined 20 mistresses

The problem of what to do during quarantine is not too acute for the royals. For example, the King of Thailand Maha Vachiralongkorn Rama X decided to isolate himself in Germany with 20 young concubines. An elderly but loving monarch will wait out the epidemic in a four-star hotel, which he rented completely for himself and his retinue.

For self-isolation, the 67-year-old monarch chose the luxury Grand Hotel Sonnenbichl, located in the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in Bavaria, among picturesque mountains and forests. Despite strict quarantine measures, the German authorities gave permission to enter the country to Rama X and his numerous girlfriends.

The hotel chosen by the King for self-isolation

It is known for sure that 20 of his concubines entered the hotel with the king, but nothing is known about the presence of official wives. But there is information about how his subjects reacted to the act of the king. As soon as the news of the departure of the ruler of the country leaked to social networks, thousands of Thais turned against him and began to express their indignation.

The hashtag "Why do we need a king?" has even appeared on Twitter, under which more than a million messages have already been posted. Angry Thais are not deterred even by the fact that the laws of their country severely punish anyone who expresses dissatisfaction with the king. Up to 15 years in prison are provided for insulting the monarch, but this does not stop many people.

Basically, Thais are outraged that Maha Vachiralongkorn Rama X withdrew at a difficult moment for the country and the whole world. Also, a lot of posts concern the king's too luxurious lifestyle at a time when the world is gripped by the largest economic crisis, perhaps the most serious in the last 100 years.

It must be said that Rama X did not care too much about what people would think of him before. The king is known for his extravagant and not quite adequate actions. He was married four times and in parallel always had around him a whole army of concubines and kept women.

One of the scandalous divorces of Rama X amused the whole world. The king's second wife, actress Yuvadhida Polpraset cuckolded him with 60-year-old Thai Air Marshal Anand Rotsamhan and fled from his anger to the UK. Then Maha Vachiralongkorn appointed his dwarf poodle Fu Fu as an air marshal.

A great lover of women, Rama X restored the ancient custom of the kings of Siam and was able to officially have a second consort wife. In 2019, he married 40-year-old Suthida Vachiralongkorn, an army general who headed his personal guard.
