There he also received an art education at the prestigious Parisian Julian Academy. Despite this, he remains a passionate fan of the Wild West and paints wonderful pictures with cowboys, steeds, trackers and Indians. To be closer to the places that inspire him, Marjorie even moved to the USA in 2017. Now he is considered more of an American artist than many of those who have lived in America all their lives.
The unusual fascination of a guy from French Fontainebleau with cowboys and Indians began at the age of 15. Then Marjorie visited the USA for the first time and traveled around different states with his parents for a month. He also visited the southwest, in places fanned by teenage romance.
After visiting several national parks and museums in Texas, Colorado and Arizona, Marjorie was forever "sick" of old America. Despite the fact that from that moment the heroes of his paintings were the harsh inhabitants of the Wild West, Mark lived in Europe for many more years. He worked as a graphic designer and was even the vocalist in his rock band Pleymo.
Only at the age of 40 did Marjorie realize that his whole life would be spent away from the places dear to his heart and decided to move. Now the artist goes to the open air in the mountains, prairies and deserts of the southwestern states. This allows him to convey incredibly accurately breathtaking American landscapes.
That's what Mark Marjorie once said in an interview with the press. His works have been published in Forbes, Flaunt, Southwest Art, Western Horseman and other reputable publications. Also, the master's paintings are highly appreciated by collectors from around the world.
We can admire the realistic and dynamic works of the artist as much as we like. But at the same time, we will never guess what exactly amazes professionals in these paintings. It turns out that experts are attracted not by prairies, horsemen and stagecoaches, but... clouds!
Marc Marjorie is considered an unsurpassed master of clouds in the circle of artists. Artist Christopher Barker describes them like this:
Marc Marjorie's paintings are often compared to the works of Morgan Weistling, which are just as realistic and atmospheric.
