Many scenes from famous films are shot in Hollywood studios. However, most of the filming takes place in real places - prisons, shops, mental hospitals and entire cities. 1. King's Landing from the series "Game of Thrones".

The entire Croatian city of Dubrovnik was used as a prototype for King's Landing. Here you can even go on a walking tour of the filming locations.

2. Prison from the movie "The Shawshank Redemption".

Shawshank Prison doesn't exist, but Ohio State Prison is real. And that's where the movie was filmed. In addition, the prison is no longer in operation, and, as guides and tour operators like to claim, it is haunted.
