1. King's Landing from the series "Game of Thrones".
The entire Croatian city of Dubrovnik was used as a prototype for King's Landing. Here you can even go on a walking tour of the filming locations.
2. Prison from the movie "The Shawshank Redemption".
Shawshank Prison doesn't exist, but Ohio State Prison is real. And that's where the movie was filmed. In addition, the prison is no longer in operation, and, as guides and tour operators like to claim, it is haunted.
3. Hobbiton from The Lord of the Rings.
Hobbiton was built in Matamata, New Zealand. You can still go on tour and visit the habitats of the "halflings".

It's actually an Arecibo laboratory in Puerto Rico. Scenes from the film "Contact" and the TV series "The X-Files" were also filmed at this location.

Luke's home on Tatooine is actually the Hotel Sidi Driss in Matmata, Tunisia.
12. Rick Deckard's apartment from Blade Runner.
This is actually Ennis House, a mansion built by Frank Lloyd Wright in Los Angeles.
13. Staircase from the movie "The Exorcist".
Remember that creepy staircase from that movie? Well, you can climb it if you go to Georgetown.
14. Island from Jurassic Park.
Although the movie set is long gone, why not use your love of cult cinema to visit Kauai, Hawaii? In addition, there are still helicopter tours dedicated to the theme of the film.
15. Dead city from the movie “007. Coordinates: Skyfall.
This city is actually a Japanese ghost town on Hashima Island. Although the scenes that take place on the island in the film were actually filmed in a studio, the shots of the island itself are quite real.
16. Rome in the movie "Gladiator".
The most amazing thing is that the Rome scenes from this movie were never filmed in Rome. This is actually the ruins of Fort Ricasoli, Malta. Although, of course, it is always worth going to Rome and seeing the real ruins.
