Russian Pelmen Kondolsky wants to become a Roma again
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/russian-pelmen-kondolsky-wants-to-become-a-roma-again.htmlThe first and last names are given to us by our parents and we should wear them with pride. But sometimes there are individuals for whom it costs nothing to rename themselves for the sake of PR, jokes or material gain. One of these people is Dumpling Kondolsky from the city of Troitsk, Chelyabinsk region, who has come to his senses and wants to become Roman Groshev again.
The 19-year-old Roman turned into a Dumpling not out of mischief and not as a protest against the opening of another vegan restaurant. Beliefs have nothing to do with it, since the change was made solely for selfish purposes, during an advertising campaign.
A well-known manufacturer of semi-finished products in Russia offered 200 kg of its products to a Russian who would be the first to change his name to a Kondolsky Dumpling, in honor of the name of a popular product.
So Roman Groshev officially turned into a Kondolsky Dumpling. However, the winner of the promotion received the promised reward not with dumplings, but with money. He didn't mind spending the entire amount on a new smartphone and various youth entertainment.
The guy told reporters that his family was not happy with the change of name and surname. Grandmother directly told her grandson that he was ready to sell his Homeland for the sake of dumplings. But at first everything was fine with Dumplings — he became famous and was invited to various events and shows.
Over time, they got used to the new name and both household members and friends began to call Groshev Dumplings. Only mom stubbornly continued to address him as Roman and did not give up trying to persuade him to change his name back.
But now it's time for Dumplings to join the army and he wants to turn back into Rum. The guy suspects, not without reason, that his colleagues will mock him and the maximum that he gets is permanent duty in the kitchen. The guy is also worried that his children will have a discordant patronymic.
So very soon, the Kondolsky Dumpling will again become a Rum Penny. It remains to be hoped that after serving in the army, the guy will get smart and, once again being "in civilian life", will not fall for the offer of some other manufacturer, for example vacuum cleaners.
Strangely enough, but Russians are willing to respond to the calls of companies and participate in very strange promotions, for the sake of getting food or some other pleasant bonuses.
