Romance with humor from cartoonist Igor Elistratov

Everyone has probably seen the cartoons of Igor Borisovich Elistratov. This wonderful artist has a sparkling sense of humor and a well-recognized style. But few people know that Igor Borisovich also paints real paintings. Of course, the master remains true to himself and they cannot help but make you smile, although they are dedicated to quite serious things - love and relationships.

Igor Elistratov was born in 1955 in Novosibirsk. In his hometown, he graduated from art school and began his career as a cartoonist. Elistratov tried not to miss domestic creative competitions, and later entered the international level.

Cartoonist Igor Elistratov has one peculiarity. He never draws cartoons or caricatures of real people. He also does not like black humor - all the artist’s works are light and positive.

With his works, he refutes the established stereotype that all cartoonists are sarcastic and bile people, determined to see only the negative.

Igor Elistratov says that he comes up with the plots of his works at home, lying on the couch. Then he moves to his desk and transfers ideas to paper. The first reviewers of his works are his wife and daughter - the caricature is released to the masses only if it is approved by the household.

Cartoonist Denis Lopatin, on the contrary, creates caricatures of famous people. They turn out to be very similar and completely harmless.
