LOLcats – this is a new fotoman on the Internet, where funny pictures of cats with funny captions and accompanying captions, often grammatically incorrect – as if it says the cat. Although this term appeared in 2006, the concept of "funny cats" rooted in the past. These photos were taken by American photographer Harry Whittier Frieze (1879-1953), who dressed his cats, Rags and Fluff and Pets your friends and neighbors, and then photographed them in human situations, often using labels and props.

Freese used a specially created outfits that sewed by his mother, so the animals could stand for a desired image.

"These unusual photographs of real animals were made possible only by patience and kindness on the part of the photographer," says Frieze.

"Speed is the most important in this case, but often enough to be quick is not so easy."

Frieze career as a photographer of animals in dresses started on the party of the birthday in 1906, when the table was transferred to a paper hat, which then was on the mind of a cat.

Harry took the photo, and his career started in the same moment.

He began to photograph animals and make images of the cards.

Over time, his props and scenarios became more complex and intricate.

His photographs were everywhere – on postcards, calendars, books, advertising and articles in popular magazines.
