There is a reason why we call these beautiful old cars forever: now they look so stunning, as at the moment of their production, and, thanking all the people who care about them, they will be taken care of.
12 PHOTOS
1. The car 1936 BUGATTI TYPE 57SC ATLANTIC was personally developed by Jean Bugatti and debuted in 1935-36. One hundred years ago, the maximum speed of the Type 57SC was 197 km / h, which was a real miracle of engineering thinking. It was an upgraded version of the "ordinary" Type 57, where "S" meant "Surbaissé" (which means a reduced level), and "C" meant "Compresseur", denoting its oppressor.
2. In the 1930s, car buyers had a choice: they could choose a race car or a road car. So far, Bugatti has not released the Type 51. The coupe Bugatti Louis Dubos is very similar to the Type 57SC Atlantic Zhana Bugatti from the point of view of aesthetics and practically the same, with the exception of the engine and wheelbase. Dubos is equipped with a 2.3-liter engine with an overhead capacity of 2224 cubic meters. see, which can support the power of 180 horsepower.
3. The Phantom II was one of the latest models of Roll-Royce cars, for which Sir Henry Royce personally watched. They had a row six-cylinder engine with a capacity of 120 horsepower and a working volume of 7.7 liters. The power may seem a little slow, especially by comparison with other points on this list, but Rolls-Royce has never strived for speed - their attention has been focused on luxury, and, damn it, Phantom II.
4. Mercedes 540K Spezial-Roadsters were built exclusively to order and even had their own factory. The cars rumbled with wide wings, especially with elongated hoods, high V-shaped grilles, and smooth sharpened tails, which quickly became the favorites of the German automobile world.
5. As it was already said, Rolls-Royce has never been faster than Bugatti. The speech was about luxury, beauty, elegance, and class. Phantom III will always occupy its place in history textbooks as one of the best models of luxury car technology, sometimes created.
6. Next time we have to thank Germany for the fact that it gave the world another wonderful car - Horch 853. Horch was created in Cologne in 1899, and its dream was to become a competitor to Mercedes. Unfortunately, it did not work, as expected, and as a result of today, there are only five such magnificent cars.
7. One of the most obsolete (and expensive) old cars in the world, Mercedes SSK was chosen to participate in the races in the early 20th century. 710 Trossi Roadster is named in honor of its first owner, Count Carlo Trossi, who later became president of the racing team Scuderia Ferrari. Again, the letter "K" (Compressor) in the title indicates the engine with an overhead - this specific engine with a volume of 6.9 liters emitted stunning 300 horsepower.
8. This beautiful part of car history was one of the first attempts Audi to make a massive proposal with the front drive. The car usually had a rigid rear axle and an independent suspension on the transverse levers of the lane and was driven by the same engine that was used in the cult W245 Wanderer. Izvestny in the automobile union as "Typ UW", August High built only two prototypes, and none of them survived until our days. However, Volkswagen decided to give respect to the legendary car, recreating its exact copy on the original chassis. Recreated Type 225 Front painted in white color, has a cult grille for the radiator of the Audi 1920s and enchanting arrow-shaped rear part.
9. The Bugatti Type 41 is a very spectacular car, as it should be - Ettore Bugatti built it for heads of state. A total of six such masterpieces were built, and they were the longest Bugatti ever built. The car weighed about 3175 kg in combination with a limousine body and had extremely long wide fenders that covered 24-inch alloy wheels.
10. This gorgeous roadster from Mercedes was the inspiration for what would eventually become the almost mythical 540K. As you already know, the letter "K" stands for supercharged engine, namely this inline 8-cylinder engine with a displacement of 5.0 liters. The 500K became the star of the 1935 Berlin Motor Show, after which it was sold to a wealthy German industrialist.
11. The Phaeton was supposed to be Cadillac's answer to the Rolls-Royce Phantom III. It was a luxury sports car that was outrageously expensive to manufacture (let alone buy). However, due to the Great Depression, the car was never produced because it made no economic sense for the company to produce a car that would not sell. However, in 1980, famed coachbuilder Fran Roxas built a copy of the car.
12. After successfully testing the "Car Zero" continuation of the series, the Bentley-Mulliner power pair settled on a production figure of 12 units of Birkin Blowers. It would take more than two years for the brand's bodybuilding division to complete production of these units, which are replicas of Sir Tim Burkin's original 4.5-liter turbofan from Bentley in 1929.
