After leaving the "big sport", the porn actor found another occupation for himself. Now he works in a fish shop and says he loves his job. Although it was not easy to find her: often people recognized him and refused employment.

58-year—old Randy Spears (real name - Gregory Deuschle) has been working at the seafood counter at the H-E-B market in Woodlands (Texas) since January 2019. Before that, he had been working in another store for two years, also as a salesman.

The usual earnings in such a shop are about $ 25,000 a year, which is very far from the $1,000 a day that he received at the height of his career. According to Spears, finding a job was not an easy task due to his fame.

The aspiring actor got into adult cinema in the late 80s: in 1988 there was a strike of Hollywood screenwriters and work was very tight. Prior to that, he managed to appear in several films — for example, "Toothpicks 2: Main Course" (under the pseudonym Gregory Patrick).

In general, there was no money and when he was called to porn, he did not refuse. Randy Spears made his porn debut in 1988 in a film called "The Case of Sensual Sinners", where he portrayed a detective. Then there were hundreds and hundreds of films rated "only for adults".

He loved meeting fans and signing autographs. Especially pleasant memories remained from the annual event — the Adult Video Award, which was held in Las Vegas.

But, according to Spears, there was a dark side to this business: he got hooked on cocaine and lost the opportunity to act somewhere else besides porn.

He spent more than 20 years in the porn business. By 2011, his career had smoothly come to an end — not only because of his age, but also because he was just tired of doing it. What is called "broke".

In 2013, Randy Spears moved to Houston, Texas, where his children from his first wife live. 26-year-old Amanda works in a veterinary clinic, and 24-year-old son Greg has just graduated from college and plans to become an engineer.

Regarding the current job, Randy says: "It's hard — you have to tinker with ice, you smell fish all the time ... But I like to communicate with customers, help them. I know a lot about fish and can give good advice. After all, I've been a fisherman since I was a kid, my brothers and I used to fish in Illinois when we were little."

His family supports him and is proud of him that he was able to find a new business to his liking. However, Spears warns anyone who is just thinking about a porn career: think twice before embarking on this path. There probably won't be a way back.
