And 85-year-old Daphne Selfe is the world's oldest fashion model and dresses cool enough to merit the approval of the stars of the modern fashion industry. Gillian Lynne wears miniskirts at 87 and claims her legs are her greatest asset.

And they are far from alone in their passion for fashion - the British Channel 4 documentary Fabulous Fashionistas tells the story of six fashionable retirees who look stylish no matter their age.

Bridget Sujourner lives on a pension of £100 a week, shopping in second-hand stores, but looking bright and stylish.

She says style becomes more and more important with age.

“I dress brightly for my own pleasure and fun. It has nothing to do with the desire to look younger, ”says Bridget Sujourner.

9. Gillian Lynn may not be young either, but at 87 she looks 20 years younger. Another secret of her "second youth" is that she is married to a man who is 27 years younger than her.

“I was once told that it was indecent to date a person who is so much younger than you. But we are still together, so those who criticized us remained fools, ”she assures.

She is most upset by women who, with age, “give up” and stop taking care of themselves.

“They walk around hunched over, staring at the floor and looking dejected. My dance coaches always told me to keep my back straight with my shoulders back and look forward,” says Gillian Lynn, who was a ballerina in her youth.
