Remembering... fashionable clothes of the 90s
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/remembering-fashionable-clothes-of-the-90s.htmlFashion of the 90s. A frenzied mix of domestic consumer goods, "branded clothes" brought by shuttles, unimaginable hairstyles and the eternal desire to be fashionable and cool. And of course, a lot of show-offs.
"Adidas", "Montana", "pyramids" and "malvins". The magic of the coolest brands outshone Dolchev and Gabanov, Prada and all the others, unknown to anyone in the vast expanses of the vast country. However, later, crookedly embroidered letters flashed here and there on exactly the same bright colorful T-shirts, which formed the magical Versace, Gucci, Trussardi and ... Phuket.
Wearing jeans "malvina", Moscow "adidas" or unnamed dermatin Turkish sneakers, a Boys sweater and a USA California baseball cap, at the school disco it was possible to conquer more than one girl's heart with crazy bangs or crazy hair…
Today, looking at these photos, it becomes funny, but then ... the inhabitants of a rich country, having escaped from the greyness of the deficit, like aborigines on beads, eagerly attacked everything bright imported with unfamiliar foreign names.
The most fashionable shoes of the late 80s - early 90s. Moscow "Adidas". Or "adiki". They were also called "corks" in some places for the specific type of sole. If you didn't use authority in your neighborhood, in the evening such sneakers could easily take off personalities who needed them more than a simple guy from the neighborhood.
Czech "botas". It can't be said that they were very popular or fashionable, but... I wore them, so I couldn't help posting them when I met this photo on the Internet. And in fact, from this photo I began to collect a selection on the topic of fashionable clothes for the 55th issue of my column "Remembering".
Those nameless dermatin sneakers worn by those who could not afford the "adiki". They were killed very quickly, but they were worn until the sole fell off completely.
Mawin jeans, or "malvins". They rushed to us along with the shuttles, filling the crowds all over the former in a matter of weeks. They were cheaper than Levi's, Montana and Pyramid, so they were worn everywhere. Later, the label on the ass could be anything, but these varenka jeans were called "malvins".
"Montana" was cool. And the eagle on the label allowed us to proudly say that these are real States…
A typical shuttle trading place from the 90s. There is a piece of cloth on the ground, and on it "malvins", "Montanas", "levi's" and "pyramids" for some absolutely unreal money.
The beginning of the 90s, among other things, can be considered the era of the tracksuit. Half of the country went in such "Adidas", which later became "Abidas", "Adibadas" and any other "Abyebas", because everyone was sewing it, and many small-minded shuttles simply did not pay attention to the inscription, choosing a familiar shape and color.
Megaclassics of the 90s. Boys sweater. Even in this photo you can see how proud the dude is of himself because he is wearing this masterpiece of Turkish consumer goods.
A mandatory attribute of a cool dude is a Montana electronic watch. The others didn't roll.
Well, where without another classic of the 90s. USA California. They were worn even by the very last grandfather in the most remote village.
Money clip from the 90s. Worn on the belt.
Girls in Boyce sweaters. The chains are loose — the squeak of those years.
The first girl in the class.
Accordingly, the first guy in the village.
Real guys from the 90s.
