Children are especially often affected by the device, who can watch cartoons and entertainment programs for hours on end, instead of spending time outdoors, communicating with peers or studying.
Australian-born photographer Donna Stevens, who currently resides in New York, created a series of Idiot Box images of children intoxicated by television.
