In 1945, Andre de Dines first met 19-year-old Norma Jean Baker - the future Hollywood star Marilyn Monroe. At that time, she was photographed for the catalogues of the modeling agency Emmeline Sniveley.
Norma divorced her husband James Dougherty and told about her desire to become an actress to Dines. The photographer offered her to go with him to shoot against the backdrop of mountain landscapes, only paying her rent an apartment. This was the beginning of the fatal blonde's ascent to the top of fame.
After meeting Monroe and Dines worked together several times. One of the filming took place in 1953 at the Bel Air Hotel.
