The queen of rock and roll, Tina Turner, has not always rested on the laurels of the musical Olympus. The singer knew what poverty was, suffered constant infidelity and almost died. Her life is full of secrets, which the singer herself tells reluctantly.

She even tried to commit suicide, as her first marriage turned into hell. In many ways, the reason for her misadventures was the alliance with Ike Turner, which Tina tried not to remember. So it was before, and now the singer is ready to tell fans the whole truth.

Tina Turner is considered one of the most famous performers and is rightfully called the "queen of rock and roll".  She deserved these regalia for her significant contribution to the development of music.

Her ex-husband Ike is one of the founders of the genre, as well as the creator of a creative duo with Tina. Together they recorded many compositions, among which there are lyrical ones.

Unfortunately, in everyday life, Ike was not distinguished by the ability to compromise. He did not consider an alliance with Tina an obstacle to drunkenness or orgies. The artists got married in 1962, after which Tina's life turned into hell.

The singer claims that she did not want to marry Ike, but she had no choice. The future of the duo and the singer herself depended on him.

The marriage was concluded in the Mexican city of Tijuana, near the California border. The couple signed the documents in a dirty and smelly office. After the "ceremony", Ike wanted to have fun, in his own style.

Tina's debut took place during the recording of the song "A Fool in Love". The soloist simply did not come to the studio, after which the future singer decided to replace him. Ike was fascinated by her voice.

Ike even chose the pseudonym "Tina" because it rhymes well with "Sheena". That was the name of a certain girl from a TV show that Ike remembered well.

Tina admits that her life with Ike was like walking through a minefield. You always had to watch your every action, every word.

When Tina found out that one of Ike's mistresses was pregnant, she decided to take her own life. She took 50 sleeping pills, but was able to pull through.

The blow continued to exist, but Ike no longer held back and beat Tina openly. Once he broke a girl's jaw when she refused to sing at a rehearsal.

In 1976, Tina ran away. She just took the bag and left. She was threatened with poverty and oblivion, but the singer managed to return to the stage. David Bowie helped her in this.

In 2013, Tina Turner married German music producer Erwin Bach. Family life with him has become a real outlet. Of course, the beatings left their mark on the singer's health.

In 2016, Tina was diagnosed with bowel cancer. A year later, she underwent a serious operation, during which her husband's kidney was transplanted to her in secret from herself.

The singer admitted this publicly only now. She is immensely grateful to her husband. Tina prefers not to remember about her past relationships.
