Putin's gifts

During his visit to Egypt, Vladimir Putin presented the president of this country, Abdul-Fattah Al-Sisi, with a Kalashnikov assault rifle, which, on the one hand, showed respect for the military past of his Egyptian colleague, and on the other hand, transparently hinted at the prospects for Russian-Egyptian cooperation in the future.
