Mario Hvala, 33, says he started making portraits out of hair eight years ago when he was still working in Slovenia. One day a client asked a barber to cut two straight lines on his head, but Mario suggested a more complex design. As a result, a satisfied customer returned home with a tarantula on the back of his head. Inspired by the success of his first attempt, Hvala continued to hone his skills, and four years ago, when he returned to Serbia, he quickly gained popularity in the hairdressing salon "House Damian" in Novi Sad, cutting various drawings and portraits of celebrities on the heads of clients.

In recent years, Mario Praise has made headlines several times in local newspapers thanks to his hairdressing. He shaved the portrait of Nikola Tesla, tennis player Novak Djokovic, President Alexander Vucic on the backs of his clients' heads. But the portrait of Kim Jong-un brought him real fame all over the world. Mario posted a video of this work on Facebook, and the video immediately went viral.
Mario Khvala said that he spends from three to five hours to create one portrait. In his work, he uses a razor and scissors, spends a lot of time choosing a drawing and the best place for a portrait. The shape of the head of all people is different, and you need to carefully choose a place so that the portrait is not distorted.
There is no room for mistakes in this work, so first Mario draws a portrait on a piece of paper several times. Then he cuts the pattern on the back of the client's head with a trimmer, and then he completes it with a razor and scissors. The longest job took him eight hours.
Considering that, on average, hair grows at a rate of 1.5 centimeters per month, portraits begin to lose clarity after 8-10 days. But this does not prevent Mario's clients from paying 120 euros for a hairstyle.
