Over the weekend, the jailers staged a rodeo behind barbed wire in the American prison "Angola". Thus, they celebrated the 50th anniversary of the tradition, which originated in 1964 and was considered only prison entertainment. Participants also included life-sentenced murderers who had already become stars in prison rodeo country. Participation in it, by the way, must be earned by good behavior. Indeed, over half a century, this event has grown into a big business, the proceeds of which go to the prison's charitable foundation. Every April, tourists and relatives of prisoners come here. During the performance for the audience, the rodeo participants sit down at the tables and start playing poker, and then the bull is released into the arena. The last prisoner left at the table is the winner. Racing on a wild bull, on a bareback and saddled horse, etc. is also practiced. You can talk for a long time, but it's better to see once.
