This phrase incredibly accurately characterizes the work of the master, who always treated the heroes of his photographs and even objects with respect and reverence. Buba spent his whole life traveling, showing people a beautiful and complex world. He liked to tell stories with his pictures, but he never talked about himself. Therefore, very little is known about this wonderful photographer.
Edouard Boubat was born in 1923 in Paris. During the German occupation, a very young Frenchman was taken to forced labor in Germany. It is possible that this tragic chapter of Bub's life formed his creative personality.
Eduard faced human suffering and injustice, but at the same time he met very different people. It should be said right away that all his life Buba avoided images of human grief, which he saw so much.
After receiving his freedom, Buba returned to his native Paris and studied to be a photographer. He works in different printing houses, printing other people's pictures, until he picks up a camera himself. This happens in 1946, and just a few months later, a novice photographer receives a prestigious award from the Kodak company.
Success inspires Eduard Bub and he leaves his printing house to go on a journey. Probably, then the talented guy did not yet know that his wanderings would last a lifetime.
It is impossible to list all the places where the restless Frenchman found himself with his camera. His photographs capture the streets of Beijing, African schoolchildren, sunrises over Rio de Janeiro, sandy landscapes of Australia and snow-covered Finnish villages.
Bub's works were highly appreciated all over the world. His exhibitions are held in New York, London, Tokyo, Toronto, Chicago and, of course, in his native Paris. After becoming famous, the photographer began publishing books with his works. The most famous of them are "Survival" (1076), "Women" (1979), "Paris Bouba" (1990).
Bub's works, made in different years in different parts of the world, are united by the absence of pain, harmony and love for the surrounding world. The photographer died in Paris in 1999, leaving behind a huge number of works that never cease to delight and delight the viewer.
