By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/photo-retroselfi.htmlPhotographer Ignas Kutavicius from Lithuania used one of the oldest photographic technologies to find out what taking a selfie could look like at the dawn of the history of photography.
"Selfies are probably the most popular of modern types of photography. Nowadays, everyone has a camera in their pocket and quick pictures of themselves are taken every day in countless quantities. Everything was not so simple when a pinhole camera was used for photographing," Ignas Kutavicius—
He made a special design for a small pinhole camera that allows you to fix the device on your head, opposite your face. The photographer published the self-portraits and selfies of his acquaintances and friends on his personal website.
Ignas calls himself a curious artist and likes to experiment with various ways of capturing photographic images, from the most modern to the old ones.
Together with a group of his friends, he created the TEMA non-profit association, which is based in Klaipeda and organizes concerts, performances and exhibitions.
The photographer's works have been published many times in professional magazines and have been included in the book "101 Ways To Do Something Impossible".
