The traditional Victory Parade on Red Square will take place on May 9. For the first time in many years, the authorities decided to change the route, and until some time it remained the main intrigue of the 2016 parade. This time, the collection of equipment took place not on the Khodynka field, but on a wasteland on Nizhniye Mnevniki Street.

The route of general rehearsals always repeats the main one, along which cars will pass on the day of the holiday. The vehicles passed along Nizhniye Mnevniki Street, then along the Zvenigorodskoye Highway, turned left at the Garden Ring and headed towards Tverskaya Street. Then the combat vehicles went along the traditional route - they went down Tverskaya to Manezhnaya Square and headed for Red Square.

On May 5, the second dress rehearsal of the parade took place. Our photographer Masha Plotnikova followed the country's military pride from the assembly point to Red Square with a camera at the ready. The result is breathtaking pictures. And now it is difficult to say whether the parade will turn out to be more beautiful than what we saw in the Machine photo essay.

This year, the "meeting place" had to be changed - construction is taking place on the Khodynka field. Because of this, the collection of equipment took place in a wasteland on Nizhniye Mnyovniki Street.
