French photographer from Paris Julien Knez (Knez Julien) found retro photos made in the period between 1871 and 1968. In the photos you can see how the streets and people of Paris at that time. Then Julien took a picture of the same attractions at the same angle and have combined contemporary photographs with a retro feel.

When you look at these works, one gets the impression that the French photographer was able to open a window into the past, on the streets of Paris late XIX — early XX century.
