When creating posters for pornographic films, designers and artists faced serious problems. Firstly, they needed to attract the attention of the viewer, and secondly, to observe decency — after all, their products were exhibited on the streets. Children and prim old men walked past the stands inviting to adult sessions, who did not need to see overly explicit images.

In addition, in all cities of Europe and the USA, where porn was shown in cinemas, there were laws prohibiting the public demonstration of eroticism and porn. All these factors have caused the appearance of almost chaste posters advertising the most outspoken film products.
