Fortunately, she turned out to be strong and passed the test with honor.

Nicky Taylor was born on March 5, 1975 in Florida. Three years later, her younger sister Chrissie was born. When Niki was 13 years old, her mother arranged a photo shoot for her in fashionable outfits. This gave the handsome teenager an impetus for further development. The girl spent all her pocket money on glossy magazines and learned to pose, emulating the stars of the catwalk.

Nika's mother sent a photo of her daughter to several modeling agencies, but was refused everywhere. But the woman did not give up and sent her portfolio again and again. As a result, an agency from Miami Beach, which had already refused once, became interested in Niki.

At first, the girl was photographed only for catalogues, but then she won the Fresh Faces modeling competition in New York. After that, she was offered her first serious contract for 500 thousand dollars. And at the age of 14, Nicky Taylor graced the cover of the popular Seventeen magazine. A year later, she posed for the cover of Vogue, becoming the second youngest model after Brooke Shields to receive such an honor.

This is how Niki Taylor came into the modeling business. With her bright appearance and charisma, the beautiful girl conquered the fashion world and the most famous brands worked with her. Her face never left the covers of glossy magazines, and her chiseled figure adorned advertising posters in New York, Paris and London. The girl became one of the most recognizable models of the 90s and a role model for millions of girls around the world.

Nicki Taylor's younger sister Chrissy has seen her sister's success. She also wanted to shine on the catwalk and win hearts. Nature also did not deprive her of her appearance, so Chrissy Taylor was also able to become a model and soon signed several serious contracts.

Nika's career was simply brilliant. By the age of 16, she became the face of the L'Oréal brand, becoming the youngest model to sign a multimillion-dollar contract. A year later, she was offered cooperation by the CoverGirl brand, which also brought millions to the young model.

Nicky Taylor has worked among A-list catwalk stars such as Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen, and Christa Turlington. But, despite the stunning success, Niki remained a schoolgirl. From all the shows and filming she returned home to her family.

It seemed that Nicky and Chrissy were living the most eventful and vibrant life possible and had achieved everything they wanted. But there was a downside to their success. Nicki, who quickly broke into the modeling business, soon began to feel the pressure of the industry. She was also haunted by failures on the personal front. All these circumstances greatly influenced the girl and her career was in jeopardy. Soon her younger sister Chrissy, who had even less life experience, faced a similar situation.

Having reached adulthood, Niki Taylor met former football player Matt Martinez. They began an affair and just three months later the couple got married. A year later, the couple had twin sons. The birth was difficult and the model took strong painkillers for a long time. But the marriage was not happy and soon the relationship with Martinez began to crack. The couple constantly quarreled and it came to divorce.

At this difficult time for Nika, another blow awaited her. At age 20, she discovered the body of her younger sister Chrissy on the floor of the family home in Florida. The girl's death was unexpected - the cause was acute heart disease arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia (ARVD). Nicky spoke about this loss in an interview with Oprah Winfrey:

After this tragedy, Niki again began taking the medications she was prescribed after giving birth. Very soon she became seriously dependent on these drugs. But she continued to work and in 1996 her photos appeared on the covers of Allure, Vogue, ELLE, Marie Claire, Self and Shape.

Upon examination, it turned out that the model’s lung, as well as the spine, were seriously damaged. Over the next 24 hours, Niki underwent three operations and was twice on the verge of life and death. Nika's life was saved, but her health was irretrievably lost. For the next three years, the girl almost never left the hospital. She underwent more than 50 surgical interventions, during one of which two steel wires were implanted into her spine.

In 2001, Nicky moved with her sons from Florida to Tennessee. A year later, fate gave her a meeting with country singer Keith Urban. A serious relationship began and the lovers even got paired tattoos “Love conquers all.” Nicki starred in Urban's "Somebody Like You" video.

Taylor couldn't work as a model anymore, but she didn't want to leave the fashion industry. She founded Begin Enterprises, Inc., launched her own line of perfumes and clothing, and opened a charitable foundation. Her union with Urban dissolved on its own two years later. Taylor said they were both too busy with their careers and rarely saw each other.

Now she is doing well - she is loved, in demand and happy.
