Karol Bak was born on May 30, 1961 in the Polish city of Kolo. As a child, he was fascinated by the myths and legends of the peoples of the world, the magic of which he transferred to paper using pencils and paints. After school, he entered the State Higher School of Fine Arts at the art and graphic department.

Having received his diploma, Buck continued to master the skill of a painter in the studios of famous artists Tadeusz Jackowski and Jaroslaw Kozlowski.
