In the 70s, in Colombia, the murderer and rapist Pedro Lopez preyed on girls aged 8 to 12 years. He was arrested in the 80s, charged with the murder of 110 people, but he admitted that he actually killed 350. According to him, every week the maniac took the lives of three victims in Peru and Ecuador.

Lopez began committing serial murders in 1969, after being released from prison, where he was serving a sentence for stealing a car. First, he attacked two men who, as he claimed, raped him in the colony. The criminal killed them with a homemade knife. The bloodthirsty maniac did not stop there and began to pursue the girls. Usually they were children from poor families.

The killer pretended to be a lost sailor and asked for help, luring children into a trap. He abducted girls, raped them and strangled them. In 1980, Lopez confessed to the police in the atrocities. The cops didn't believe him until they saw the mass grave of the murdered victims.

Witnesses who saw the pervert said that he considered his crimes absolutely normal. Lopez spoke in detail about each murder and remembered the appearance of each victim. It was obvious that the maniac did not suffer from any feelings of guilt or remorse. He killed for the sake of dark fame and wanted to be written about in books. The rapist believed that by taking the children's lives, he was saving them.

Pedro Lopez was found insane and sentenced to 16 years in a mental hospital. At that time, in Ecuador, this was the maximum sentence for murder. Despite the fact that Lopez was one of the most brutal serial killers of the 20th century, in 1998 the maniac was released for "good behavior".

The pervert is still at large, despite the fact that after leaving prison, in 2002, he got involved in another murder story. No one knows where he is now, but even his mother believes that her son is still alive.

In most cases, evil does not go unpunished. In the United States, the maniac and the victim who killed him met at the execution 35 years later.
