Mom of adorable quintuplets from Australia shared their first photoshoot

The proud parents of five newborns have shared adorable photos of their babies for the first time. Kim and Won Tukki from Perth gave birth to healthy quintuplets in January 2016. They had a son Kit and four daughters - Eli, Penelope, Tiffany and Beatrix.

Kim, who also has a nine-year-old son from a previous marriage and two young daughters, shared what it's like to take care of five babies at the same time. But one look at the cute faces of babies is enough to understand that sleepless nights are worth it.

The photographs show a blooming 26-year-old mother with five babies wrapped in soft warm knitwear.

The couple has shared photos of their children before, but this time the little ones became models for a professional photo shoot.

The touching shots capture the sleeping quintuplets in one of what must be rare moments of peace.

The family faces the difficult journey of transporting all their children every day, and Kim Tukki recently admitted on television that she sometimes locks herself in the bathroom, sits on the floor and cries because she can't adapt to life with seven young children under five.

The couple have to change 350 dirty diapers a week and feed each child eight times a day. Although the spouses are overwhelmed with childcare, they admit that they are happier than ever.

“No one thought that I could, but I did and showed everyone. I think this is the first time I'm really proud of myself,” says the mother of many children.

The likelihood that all newborns would survive and be healthy was extremely small.

But in 27 weeks, Kim Tukka's body has grown to such a size that there is enough room for each baby. At birth, each of the twins weighed more than a kilogram.

Obstetrician Ian Dickinson managed to deliver each baby in less than two minutes and was amazed at the mother's endurance. The quintuplets were placed in intensive care, where they were monitored around the clock for six weeks until they were strong enough to go home.

The family receives daily help from relatives and volunteers to take care of the babies and uses feeding, diaper changing and sleep schedules to monitor each child. “It just needs to be done. We have no other choice,” says Kim Tukki.

During pregnancy, the mother wrote on her blog about increased back pain, complained about having to get up to the toilet 12 times a night and eating the recommended 6,000 calories per day so that the babies get enough nutrition. “I hardly eat and force myself to eat, which is why I have heartburn for several hours,” she wrote on her blog. “I can’t stand a lot of dairy and I can’t cut down on protein or I start losing weight when I should be gaining it.” Posts about her pregnancy, pain, nausea and bodily changes have amassed over 123,000 followers, most of them mothers sharing their own stories.

At the 24th week, photographer Erin Elizabeth took a picture of the expectant mother as a keepsake. The photos became a hit on Kim's blog and on the photographer's social media pages. On the Go Fund Me website, people began to raise funds to help the Tukki family buy a nine-seater car with which they could travel together.
