To pay tribute to his favorite directors, he made 16 small sculptures. However, their outlines are quite unusual, since the author of the works crossed the directors with the most famous characters of their films.
"Great filmmakers are suffering. They agonize over the details, the script, the budget and sacrifice their vision. Their bodies can't stand the pressure," the artist writes on his website.
All figures are made on a scale of 1:4, maximum 46 cm in height (or width), made of wood and polymer clay from scratch. "Art and films heal my pain. They are magical. They make me remember why this world is so damn beautiful," adds Mike Leavitt.
