Memories that make you cry

In 2005 and 2006, he was invited to his Studio completely unknown people who agreed to surrender the saddest memories in his life before the lens. Thus was born the project "Tears of memories". At its creation took a lot of time: first, to find volunteers was not so easy; secondly, the author was not confident that they will be able to cry.
Before you engage in the art of photography, Pacheco studied the psychology of perception and psychology of the impact of art on people. With this project he wanted "to determine whether the person is to dig in my own memory and personal history that will make him cry". "No matter how many years a person is 8 or 70, I wonder what was the most critical moment in his life and will remember if he about it to trigger these strong emotions?"
Pacheco asked his models to remember what could cause tears, and then left them alone with the camera so they could remotely press the shutter button. Then he returned and asked what memories are aroused these emotions.
Left: "I thought about my late grandmother. At her funeral I cried alot". Right: "I remembered the death of his father and again felt the pain you felt two months ago."
Left: "I tried to remember myself 10 years ago — where I was and who I wanted to be". Right: "I remembered what people say about my relationship with children — I was too harsh and angry with them, and perhaps I have failed as a husband."
Left: "I thought about my past. I had a horrible childhood: my father kicked me out as a kid, and I lived among drug addicts and tried to commit suicide". Right: "I thought about my niece Judith, I raised. She died at the age of 48 years. Cancer. I watched as he slowly killed her, and her death greatly affected me. Even now I can't talk about it".
Left: "I went back to 4 years ago, at a time when my parents were in an accident. Father died and mother was in a coma for two months. She still has not recovered completely". Right: "I'm crying because I mentally asked the father for forgiveness for not being able to be with him".
Left: "I thought that I never know where I live and where I come from, and this leads to problems in life." Right: "I cried because I realized that I wanted to write the man a long time not seen, but then I realized that this person is me. I forgot myself".
Left: "It's definitely a memory — a memory that was once good but has now become lifeless. Before everything was significant, and now I understand what all the monotonous, usually banal. And it's over." Right: "I went back to the time when I was six and I lost my sister. But in my life there were other losses. Later I lost my grandmother and then mother. And that mom's death threw me to the bottom. I think in life there is nothing more painful than losing your mother."
