8. But another facet shamefully silent for decades — is born from the German soldiers children. They were rejected twice — born out of wedlock, the fruit of communication with the enemy.

According to various estimates, in the same France was born more than 200 thousand so-called "children of the occupation", but oddly enough, the same French treated them most loyally, restricting only the ban on German names and the German language. Though there have been cases of attacks by children and adults, many mothers refused, and they were brought up in orphanages.
10. In one of the stories of Somerset Maugham — "Unconquered", created in 1944, the main character kills his child, born from a German soldier. This is not fiction — such cases have also characterized the time.

The founder of the French-German Association of children of the occupation of the "Heart without borders", which now has around 300 members, a Frenchman, son of a German soldier: "We founded this Association as a society our rights are infringed. The reason we were Franco-German children conceived during the Second world war. We have teamed up to jointly search for our parents, to help each other and to work to preserve historical memory. Why now? Previously, it was impossible to do: the topic was still taboo."
12. By the way, in Germany today, there is a legal norm according to which children of German soldiers, born to French mothers are entitled to German citizenship...
13. In Norway, these girls were about 15 thousand, and five thousand who have given birth to children from the Germans, was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labour, and almost all children with the filing of the government declared mentally incompetent and sent to a home for the mentally ill, where they were held until the 60-ies.
14. The Norwegian Union of children of war will later claim that "Nazi spawn" and "morons" — so called these children were used to test medical drugs.
15. Only in 2005 the Norwegian Parliament will bring a formal apology to these innocent victims and to approve compensation for the sufferings in the amount of 3 thousand euros. This amount could be increased if the victim will provide documentary evidence that faced with hatred, fear and distrust because of its origin.
