How many hermits in Russia is unknown. People go to live in the forest for various reasons: one goes to grow his own variety of ginseng, the other goes to pray in a cave for several months. Photographer Danila Tkachenko spent three years looking for hermits who live all alone. A photo from a series of his works on this subject took the first prize of the World Press Photo 2014 in the nomination "Staging portrait".
