Kim Jong Un shot his uncle with a machine gun

Jang Song-taek was the second person in North Korea - he was the chief adviser to Kim Jong-un and his own uncle.

On December 11, the confused Jang Song-taek was led out of the Politburo Hall of the Workers' Party of Korea by the arms. He was accused of attempting a coup d'état, corruption, depraved behavior, counter-revolutionary activities and drug use. The sentence - the death penalty - was carried out the very next day.

8. On Monday, December 9, North Korea officially confirmed that Jang Song-taek had been removed from his post. This photo appeared in the media, as well as a video of him being taken out of the meeting room of the Labor Party.

"The accused Chang rallied the evil forces, formed a faction, and, as the leader of such a group, tried to commit a terrible crime - to overthrow the state system," Reuters quoted the KCNA statement as saying. Earlier it was reported that the disgraced functionary is accused of financial abuse and moral decay.

9. Then North Korea published this photo taken during a military tribunal. On Friday, it was officially confirmed that Jang Sung-taek was tried, found guilty, and his death sentence was carried out "immediately."

According to the KCNA, Jang Song-taek created a corruption network and profited from the sale of coal and construction, tried to monopolize foreign trade, and was engaged in the sale of precious metals. In particular, he sold North Korean natural resources to China at very low prices. The executed man was accused, among other things, of "factionism" and domestic decay. The corruption manifested itself in the fact that Chan allegedly visited casinos during his treatment abroad, where he lost € 46 million, and also used drugs. To top it off, he also allegedly distributed pornographic photos in the DPRK.

10. Jang Song-taek, 67, was machine-gunned to death, along with two other high-ranking officials who were arrested shortly before the current incident.

Note that the death penalty is a popular event in the Juche state. So, about a dozen North Korean performers of the Wangsejang musical group, including the former lover of the leader of the DPRK, vocalist Hyun Song Wol, were shot on August 20 in the DPRK. They were accused of producing and distributing porn films. In October 2012, DPRK Vice Minister of Defense Kim Chole was shot with a mortar for his lack of sincere grief over the death of the previous Korean leader.
