The famous photographer Richard Miller lived to be almost a hundred years old and took many pictures during his long life, but his most famous were and remain his portraits of actors Marilyn Monroe and James Dean.

Richard C. Miller (1912-2010) is known for his iconic photographs of Norma Jean Doherty (better known as Marilyn Monroe) and James Dean. In addition to Hollywood stars, he shot documentaries. In addition to his photography, Miller is famous for using the pigment printing method (carbro process) to create his masterpieces, which resulted in the most vibrant and saturated color ranges.

His works are part of the Getty Museum collection and its permanent exhibition. He has also exhibited at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the Brooklyn Museum, and private galleries. His photographs have appeared in numerous magazines, including The Saturday Evening Post, Life, Time, and others.

Dean and Monroe were the most popular stars of American and world cinema of the 1950s. Both, unfortunately, died tragically in their youth, at the very height of their careers, but left behind wonderful films and roles: Rebel Without a Cause, East of Eden, Giant, Some Like It Hot, The Seven Year Itch, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and many others.
