Richard C. Miller (1912-2010) is known for his iconic photographs of Norma Jean Doherty (better known as Marilyn Monroe) and James Dean. In addition to Hollywood stars, he shot documentaries. In addition to his photography, Miller is famous for using the pigment printing method (carbro process) to create his masterpieces, which resulted in the most vibrant and saturated color ranges.

His works are part of the Getty Museum collection and its permanent exhibition. He has also exhibited at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the Brooklyn Museum, and private galleries. His photographs have appeared in numerous magazines, including The Saturday Evening Post, Life, Time, and others.
