It's Not Over Yet: The World's Strangest Funeral Rituals

In the European tradition, a funeral is a gloomy event, which is only emphasized by deliberately serious rituals, clothing of relatives and rituals that can cause tears even from a stone. Friends and relatives come to church dressed all in black, sit humbly on the benches and listen attentively to the prayers of the clergy. Then everyone follows to the cemetery itself. The coffin with the untimely deceased (and unless someone dies in time) slowly sinks into the grave, flowers, alcohol, a mandatory meal.

But this does not happen everywhere. Many cultures view death as a necessary, but not a sad transition from one state to another. Today we decided to collect some of the most interesting and unusual funeral rites around the world.
