But this is true - all her paintings are painted in oil on canvas or wood panels. Anna has achieved incredible skill in depicting the human body and her canvases are highly valued far beyond the borders of Poland. (Warning! Nudity).
Anna Wypych was born in 1986 in Gdynia, where she still lives and works. Anna first picked up pencils and brushes before school. By the time she received her certificate, she was a fully accomplished artist. She entered the Gdańsk Academy of Fine Arts and during her studies won 8 national awards from the Ministry of Culture, the Pomeranian Marshal and the Mayor of Gdańsk.
In 2010, Anna Vypykh won the Grand Prix of the national competition “The Artistic Journey of Hestia”. Her main prize was a month-long trip to New York, where the artist attended exhibitions, galleries and master classes.
Anna Wypych's paintings can be seen in many galleries in Poland, in the exhibition of the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) in Barcelona, as well as in the collections of museums in Turkey, Belgium, Germany, Italy, France, and the USA.
The naked people in the artist’s paintings are not just bodies. Vypykh writes concepts, ideas and feelings. In one interview, she described her work as follows:
No less amazing are the paintings of the hyperrealist Yigal Ozeri, who also paints exclusively in oils.
