I'm not a cat, don't stroke me: the artist reveals the unique nature of the stones
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/im-not-a-cat-dont-stroke-me-the-artist-reveals-the-unique-nature-of-the-stones.htmlArtist Akie draws on stones amazingly realistic animals and birds. He believes that this is not just a canvas for his work, and almost living beings, and believes that they determine his drawings. Akie takes up the brush only when he feels that you get the correct stroke, but the eye draws to the end: they should be alive and looking directly at his Creator.
"Among countless stones on the banks of the river my attention is drawn to one — it is like an animal. When I see such a stone, I feel that he, too, found me. Stones have their own intentions, and I consider our meetings as a replica from them, everything is fine and I can draw what I see. I consider the job done, not when it is traced in detail, and if I feel in stone's life," says Akie. Due to the special approach to work in the Akie characters really look real.
