Agree, it's always nice to have something made by yourself, and it's even nicer to make such gifts to your loved ones, because this is undoubtedly a more personal and thoughtful gift. We offer you a small guide on how, for example, to make a ring out of wood and resin.

First you need to take such a blank from a block of wood filled with epoxy resin with the addition of a dye (the shade can be any, we use the epoxycon dye).
Using a core drill, drill out the middle part of the workpiece for further processing.
It turns out this kind of drilled blank.
Next, pre-drill the workpiece with a drill of the desired diameter.
Then, using a file, we give the ring a shape along the ends.
The next stage: with the help of a cutter, we ream the diameter completely (very dusty, it is better to work in a respirator and with the vacuum cleaner turned on).
We begin to grind the ring with sandpaper from coarser to final on the inner diameter.
We grind the ends and the outer diameter.
As a result, we begin to polish the finally polished ring on a polishing wheel using a wood polish.
The final stage: we impregnate the ring with linseed oil and rub it with beeswax when heated with a building hair dryer. Thus, 3-4 hours after the start of production, you will receive a finished ring.
