Nationality Hakka who settled in the mountainous Fujian province in China, has created a unique architectural structure, "tulou" that literally meaning earthen structures.

Many centuries ago the people of Hakka migrated to the territory of China, located in Fujian province. Unfriendly locals, bandits, marauders — dangers around was a lot. To protect yourself, the Hakka came up with an unusual houses, which are still surprised contemporaries.

During the internecine wars of the Tang dynasty, the people of Hakka migirov from North to South of China, in the province of Fujian. "Tulou" is translated as "land lock", however, their construction is often used brick and stone.
