For hundreds of years silk is made from threads of a unique insect — silkworm. Their breeding requires a lot of attention and hard work. One month silkworm increases its weight ten thousand times, despite the fact that during the same period four times manages to throw him off. Length of silk filament reaches 800-1000 m. the Thread has a triangular cross-section and, like a prism reflects light, that is beautiful and Shine transfusion.
From this release you will learn how the process of production of silk yarn in the mountain of Vietnam.

Author: I personally visited a silk factory near Dalat in the mountains of Vietnam. There is only limited access to deliver and get there a little problematic, but my mom did it and have not regretted in the end spent nerves and money.
Generally there are three kinds of silk farm/factory. 1. Where they grow the larvae (where we did not get). 2. Where the pull of the thread. There's still a little woven fabric. 3. Where embroider an unrealistic picture of the silk. The last is the most popular place firm XQ (which even the site is in Russian language there) that's buying guides and those packs carry tourists there. There we also wanted to go, but did not.
1. So store ready oculistica larvae.
2. Kura's stealing, but it rides foreman.
3. So first, the girls take the sticks bundles of cocoons and put them in a saucepan with boiling water.

6. The larvae cooked and died. The smell of it is a bit nauseating, smell like cooked meat, only specific. Later when we bought the scarves, they were impregnated with this smell and even after I washed it, still a little bit left, bweee. Here are the boiled cocoons.
7. Then they put in a long trough with water to draw out the thread from each.
8. I used to think that looking for sure the tip of the thread in the cocoon to unwind. In fact, I realized that this is nonsense of course, just pull it from the surface of the cobweb. Here you can see how there is a thread from each cocoon.
9. Then she picks up the threads from several cocoons.
10. And here is my second myth. I thought of the cocoon thread is the final thread. This is not so. Silk thread is twisted from multiple micro–threads. The number of these threads determines the thickness of the finished thread and accordingly the thickness of the future tissue. See a series of "Dutikow"? So, this is not dashiki, and the thread from the cocoons. Girl finger brings a bundle of filaments to these rapidly rotating pimpochku and thread as if sucked there and roll up.
11. And then two threads combined into one and a ready thread is wound on the coil.

19. Unwound cocoons look like. There are already larvae are translucent.
20. This is a photo I took last year at the COOP store in the meat Department. Then I didn't know this "silk" larvae. I'm not sure 100 percent., but it is very similar and the logic fits. Otherwise, where else would they put the larvae used?
21. Still there are some looms where they weave the plain cloth. Upstairs to the left of the machine is seen hanging a stack of punch cards or how else to call it.
22. This card, in which the encoded pattern of the fabric. Through each hole is passed a thread and then on the machine they cleverly shifted and magically it turns out the pattern.
