How John Lennon starred in the "Forrest Gump" scene 14 years after his death

You probably remember the scene in the famous Tom Hanks movie "Forrest Gump", where his character was invited to the popular Dick Cavett television show in the USA. There was John Lennon sitting next to a confused Forrest Gump on the couch. Robert Zemeckis' film was released in 1994, and Lennon was killed in December 1980.

In fact, it was not a made-up actor, but really the famous singer himself in the flesh.

For the filming of the scene, real footage was taken from the Dick Cavett show on September 11, 1971, where John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono were invited guests. For the film, the main character was put in place of Yoko. If you combine the relevant footage from "Forrest Gump" and the show, it will be clearly noticeable.

With the help of computer graphics, Yoko Ono and host Dick Cavett were removed from the footage of the 1971 show. Then they added Tom Hanks from 1994 and Dick Cavett, who agreed to play himself in the film.
