American photographer Arthur Schatz in 1969 made a photo series for the LIFE magazine about the youth fashion of those years. To do this, he went to California, where he visited several high schools to photograph the most "fashionable" students.

The 60s of the last century were marked by the hippie culture with its freedom of expression, cheerfulness and love. If we talk about the style of that time, then these are bright personalities who strive to stand out, using colorful outfits and a variety of accessories.
