On September 22, we celebrate Hobbit Day, a holiday dedicated to the amazing creatures from the fabulous Middle-earth. Hobbits are famous for their cozy underground houses, where warmth and comfort reign. Would you like to see what hobbit houses would look like in our world? If you think hobbits are fictional characters, think again. Surely, undergrowth once existed on this earth, like all other species. But one day the hobbit had to leave his home in the Shire. And thanks to one famous writer, these creatures scattered throughout the world. Gandalf the White cast a spell on them that prevents ordinary people from seeing them, but if you look closely, you can find evidence of their existence. After all, they need somewhere to live...

Okay, okay, we made it all up, but you have to admit, the charming hobbit houses won the hearts of all viewers. Moreover, so much so that someone decided to build themselves the same...

So, let's imagine that hobbits do exist and look at the houses in which they could live.

The first evidence of hobbits can be found in Scotland and Finland, and they are hundreds of years old.

Hobbits appeared on earth a long time ago, and in exchange for our hospitality, they agreed to help people. And although the number of hobbits is too small (like themselves), representatives of the human race were able to feel their support.

And although many hobbit houses are very neatly built, some of them seem to have been created in a hurry.

Hobbits are especially good at certain areas of life because they follow their hearts and their stomachs. It's no surprise that places like Hopetown, California, have also developed a small community of these low-growing creatures.

But sometimes they can get down to work too zealously and, for example, produce so many bottles of wine that they do not have time to sell them. But this is not a problem, because hobbits are cheerful people and love to drink.

In general, their huts are very neat and clean. Chroniclers claim that although they can also live in hotels underground, these hotels are not ordinary ones. The main thing here is comfort and homeliness. At the same time, many hobbits prefer to live in the countryside, many also live in the suburbs, succumbing to all the delights of modern life, and sometimes completely forgetting about the idea of a “hut” for their homes.

Usually such hobbits are ridiculed by their brothers who prefer a rural lifestyle.

But building entire villages for hobbits is not the wisest decision; some representatives of the hobbit diaspora (in particular, the Gamgi clan) could not resist the temptation.

Although this may lead to the risk of collapse or squatter settlement, this small community of hobbits has proven that creating entire villages is quite possible.

Often the harsh nature of a new home caused many hobbits to forget some aspects of their inherent architecture. However, some traditions have remained unchanged, such as the round green door. But at the same time, many people no longer have a yellow round handle on their door...

Some hobbits, particularly the Sturish subspecies, are attracted to the sea.

There they fish and live quietly and calmly.

Their ancient and inflexible prohibition against rings and other jewelry has continued to this day.

Many hobbits connected their lives with the wine and food industries. However, hobbits also excelled in other activities.

These trading centers are especially useful for young hobbits who have learned to hang out.

Many hobbit families engage in farming, maintaining a long tradition. They abandoned modern conveniences such as electricity and automobiles.

Hobbits are very law-abiding citizens. All disputes and disagreements are resolved in the Hobbit Parliament.

But you can’t just go to another kingdom. However, some supernatural beings can see hobbits, despite Gandalf's spell.

For some hobbits, their new world was full of dangers. And for some, just walking out the door is an adventure.

The English Lestrange family founded several hobbit farms in hopes of dominating the real estate market. Despite protests and laws, this trend continues today.

Today, hobbits are experiencing persecution, so many of their houses are built quickly, without the usual attention and care, and when their inhabitants are in danger, these houses are very easy to evacuate.

No wonder so many hobbits move frequently these days.

We can't show you pictures of hobbit farms because they are too shocking. But we can share pictures of the consequences of the Lestrange raid on one of the hobbit houses.

This once beautiful residence of the Brandybuck family was reduced to ruins.

Home comfort and warm interiors were plundered.

It is not surprising that the hobbits decided to live secretly and invisible to all people.

But there is a bright side to the life of hobbits. As human society progresses, so does Hobbit society, including their architecture.

Although hobbits are not friends with technology, they can tolerate some gadgets as long as they do not greatly change their traditional way of life.

Hobbits love to experiment.

This also applies to the architectural forms of their houses.

They welcome environmentally friendly projects and solar energy.

In general, they say that it was the hobbit culture that influenced the human culture, and not vice versa.
