In 1979, the year the expedition led by A. N. Avdonina and G. T. Ryabova discovered, presumably the remains of the Royal family using old maps. This hypothesis was confirmed only in 2007, after conducting DNA tests.
The Emperor and his entourage ended his days in the dank basement of one of the houses of Yekaterinburg. The sentence was executed according to the decree of the Council of peasants and workers. All members of the Royal family, killed in July 1918, was canonized almost a century later in 2000.

The pictures, presumably, were taken by Herbert Galloway Stewart, who was a tutor of English in the entourage of the Emperor in the period from 1908 to 1915. Presented images are part of a collection of 22 albums, previously unexplored.
The value of pictures lies in the fact that they show the life of the ruler and his family.
