Heal yourself, or How to overcome the ailments that we invent for ourselves
Categories: Health and Medicine
PictolicAccording to the information provided by WHO, at least 25% of the population of our planet have some kind of mental problems. This is due not only to negative emotions and stress, but also to our lifestyle. The lack of live communication due to the dominance of social networks, refusal to walk in the fresh air, improper nutrition and bad habits — all this leads to the appearance of numerous psychosomatic disorders.
Most people treat psychosomatics leniently and do not consider it guilty of health problems. Is this really the case? Scientists have found that almost 70% of patients with depression or anxiety conditions become regular visitors to doctors of various specialties. All of them complain of violations in the work of internal organs, that is, somatic problems.
Under normal conditions, the vegetative system of the body reliably protects us from changing influences, ensuring the stable operation of organs and systems. But with constant stress, sooner or later a failure occurs. Protection is reduced, and one or another organ ceases to perform its functions qualitatively or even becomes damaged.
Each person has his own "weak point". It is formed not only due to malfunctions of the autonomic nervous system, but also due to hereditary factors. Doctors include the following conditions in the group of psychosomatic diseases:
This dangerous disease is manifested by attacks of suffocation. As a rule, the onset of the disease, its exacerbations, as well as individual attacks, are provoked by stressful conditions. Interestingly, in a state of peace of mind, bronchial asthma may not manifest itself for many months or even years.
The cause of this disease, despite all the achievements of medicine, has not been determined. It is expressed by ulcerative lesions of the intestines and is accompanied by severe abdominal pain and the appearance of blood in the stool. Most often, a person feels the first symptoms of this disease after a serious shock.
This is a familiar hypertension, or an increase in blood pressure, which is in no way related to diseases of internal organs. It begins with autonomic dysfunction, when the patient has a tendency to "high normal" pressure. Over time, the protective mechanisms become weaker and any stress causes an increase in pressure. In the future, a dangerous condition may occur by itself, for no apparent reason.
The disease is accompanied by changes in the skin surface and severe itching. The connection of neurodermatitis with stress or depression has been noticed for a long time, so we can confidently talk about the somatic origin of this disease.
Both of these serious diseases have a direct connection with the psychoemotional state of a person. The formation of ulcerative defects in the stomach and intestines is associated with stress and they can develop both gradually, over the years, and almost at lightning speed.
This condition is usually associated with" unprocessed emotions " and a state of anxiety. A sign of this syndrome is abdominal pain that does not have a clear localization. They are accompanied by bloating and stool disorders. Under stress, the condition of a patient with an irritable bowel worsens.
Signs of this disease are considered pain behind the sternum and difficult passage of food. Many patients claim that they feel as if they can't "swallow the offense". The stronger the stress, the more pronounced the symptoms of esophagospasm are.
It is accompanied by pain in both the right and left hypochondrium, usually immediately after eating. People with this problem are characterized by constant mental overstrain.
One of the most common and at the same time painful diseases is rheumatoid arthritis. For reasons unknown to science, the body begins to secrete antibodies to the synovial membranes of the joints. But doctors have noticed that this disease most often lies in wait for those who are dissatisfied with themselves, directs negative energy against themselves. This pattern can be considered in many other cases of autoimmune conditions.
There are several precise signs that the human autonomic system is working with disorders. First of all, this is a decrease in memory, sleep disorders, long periods of bad mood or frequent changes in it, cold palms and feet. The diagnosis of psychosomatics is complicated by the fact that there are no structural damage to the organs, and the disease manifests itself exclusively by failures in the functions of the body.
Unfortunately, official medicine can not always determine the cause of a malfunction of the organ, if there is no obvious lesion. Therefore, a patient with psychosomatic disorders becomes a malingerer with their light hand. This is the wrong approach, since such patients deserve even more attention than those who have organic lesions.
Treatment of any psychosomatic condition must necessarily be comprehensive. Usually, in getting rid of such a disease, the main role is played not by the doctor, but by the patient himself. To start the path to recovery, you need to take the following measures:
1. Start observing the regime. This does not mean that you need to live according to a strict schedule, but you will still have to bring some order to your daily routine. It is enough to go to bed and get up at the same time and eat at certain hours.
2. At work, you need to take breaks to allow the body to rest and recover.
3.A great way to put the vegetative system in order and come into a state of harmony with yourself is physical activity. Swimming, nature walks, cycling, gym - all these methods are good.
4. Well, you need to forget about the small joys of this life. Do not postpone your favorite activities for a long time and find time to devote it to pleasant things — reading books, your favorite hobby or creativity.
An interesting way to combat anxiety and depression was invented by American photographer Alec Dawson, who calls a depressed state "emotional cancer".
