Many believe that the era of computer graphics has simplified the work of cinematographers as much as possible, once and for all solving the problem of creating monsters, aliens and fantastic creatures. Unfortunately, or fortunately, this is not the case in movies, as well as everywhere else, technology cannot yet completely replace a person. Don't you believe it? Then get to know Javier Botet, whose name won't tell you anything, but the characters he played are perfectly familiar.

Actor Javier Botet was born in the Spanish city of Ciudad Real, near Madrid, but thanks to his rare physique and undoubted acting talent, he now lives and works in Hollywood. Javier suffers from a rare genetic disease — Morphan syndrome, because of which his weight at two meters tall does not exceed 56 kg.

Javier's disease is expressed not only in the absence of a fat layer and elongation of the limbs — the actor's joints have increased flexibility, which an ordinary person can develop only with years of hard training, and even with special data.

In films, the Botet is not subjected to computer processing — it is so unusual that ordinary makeup is enough for maximum visual effect. It's hard to imagine that all the movements that a man performs are not the result of the work of Hollywood aces of digital special effects.

The creepy and supernatural attracted Javier from childhood. He loved to draw monsters and ghosts, and after graduating from school he went to the capital to study painting. But the artist didn't turn out to be a guy, because in Madrid Botet suddenly became interested in cinema.

Cinema turned out to be the only way to realize the mystical fantasies of a young man and he devoted himself entirely to creating short films, including horror. Once at a seminar on special effects, a guy with an unusual physique was offered to try himself as a monster and applied the appropriate makeup. This day completely changed the life of Javier, who finally understood what his vocation was.

The experiment with the monster was so successful that a couple of months later Botet got his first role in a Spanish horror film. The actor became a constant participant in the filming of Guillermo del Toro's films, showing himself in the film "Mama".

The actor started working in Hollywood in 2009, after his work in the film "REC 2" was highly appreciated by experts at one of the cinematographic conferences in Texas.
