In the period from 2000 to 2006, Joaquim Eskildsen, together with the writer Chia Rinne, traveled to seven countries to learn more about the life of Gypsies and the conditions in which they have to live. At first, it was their personal interest that led them to the gypsy streets of Hevesaranos in northeastern Hungary, where they lived for 4 months in the house of an elderly gypsy woman Magda. Then they visited Romania, India and Finland, and in In Greece and Russia, they finally found the support of human rights organizations.
