Great camouflage: how naked people blend into the landscape

New York artist Trina Merry paints very unusual paintings. The canvas for her creations are the naked bodies of models, which she masterfully fits into the background. Trina travels around the world, painting the naked heroes of her works against the backdrop of the Abbey of Mont Saint-Michel in Normandy, the buildings of Istanbul, Los Angeles, Seattle and other cities. At the same time, the girl works quite quickly: it takes from 1 to 3 hours of work for each "picture".

"I just draw on people's bodies, and then photograph them against the landscape. It creates a hyperrealistic illusion that my models simply merge with the background," Trina said.

"Body art is the oldest form of art that existed even before rock art. I am delighted with how in those distant times different tribes used the language of symbols to indicate belonging to a particular social group. Nowadays we use other things to demonstrate our status, but the principle is the same," the artist explained.

"People love my work, they hate it, they think I'm a genius, they don't understand anything and ask me a lot of questions, they are afraid of nudity and admire the human body," Trina said. The picture shows models against the background of the White House, Washington, DC, USA.
