Futuristic wedding at Burning Man Festival

This year its theme sounded like "I, robot" — a direct reference to the works of Isaac Asimov. And one couple decided to arrange a futuristic wedding right there at the festival. Moreover, the bride is a designer, and the groom is a visual artist and photographer.
Gilles Bonulli is a French visual artist, his fiancee Yoshi Churnak is a fashion designer originally from Jamaica, who grew up in New York. They met in 2015 at a Burner party in New York and first found common topics for cooperation (it's easy to do if one arranges fashion shows and the other takes pictures), and then the creative union grew into something more. The guys have carried out many art projects together, and now they have decided to arrange their own wedding.
The futuristic theme fit perfectly. Suits made of suede and cream-colored satin were invented and designed. Gilles came up with the idea to decorate them with complex vector drawings — this required laser cutting of fabric. Then Yoshi superimposed the details of the costumes on the fiber-optic fabric, and the multimedia artist Kirill Shevyakov made the finished costumes glow and create an unforgettable impression.
The wedding ceremony was held against the background of the RadiaLumia sculpture shimmering with different colors. The background was chosen as well as possible, and it was even possible to synchronize the way the illumination of the sculpture and wedding dresses changed. It turned out to be a real intergalactic wedding, attended by gods and goddesses who accidentally flew into the Black Rock desert from some distant worlds.
The preparation for the wedding fascinated the participants so much that they decided next year to release a whole collection of wedding dresses in which classic elegance would be combined with modern technology.
The main idea — to cut complex patterns on the fabric and make the illumination go through them — appeared when looking at the intricate patterns cast on the wall by a lamp from HYBYCOZO.
The design, based on the Islamic art of "merkaba" (this word means an energy field created by sacred geometric patterns that heals the mind, body and soul), combines angel wings, ethnic motifs, a dove — a symbol of freedom, the initials of the newlyweds.

Wedding Ring Design
The design of the rings is also Gilles' idea. The pattern of the rings is a combination of the initials of the newlyweds, the image of the serotonin molecule as a symbol of eternal happiness, the Fibonacci spiral and the sacred geometric figure "Flower of Life": the first circle symbolizes the first being, the second represents two entities, and the third circle is a joint creation of the first two circles.
