Finnish photographer creates provocative self-portraits and calls it art

By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/finnish-photographer-creates-provocative-self-portraits-and-calls-it-art.htmlFinnish photographer and artist Iiu Susiraya has an unusual approach to self-portraits. Thanks to social networks, we are used to selfies, which, in fact, is a form of vain self-expression. With its help, we try to appear to other people happier, richer and more beautiful than we really are. Ai Susiraya radically changes the concept of selfies and makes extremely honest, surreal, decisive and to some extent funny portraits.
The AI takes pictures at home and, it seems, ridicules this very homely lifestyle, and perhaps even the boundaries in which we are obliged to live. The photographer purposely puts on items of clothing incorrectly and uses everyday household items in an unusual way.
