Artist Liu Yunsheng was born in 1937 in Shandong Province in eastern China. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, won many professional awards. In China, Liu is considered a folk artist.

The heroes of his paintings seem to have descended from the Tibetan heights, so real is every stroke in Liu's paintings. Yunshen creates his works from memory: each plot is a memory of the artist from life in Tibet.
