Now each of the vacationers will have to pay 30 thousand pounds (two million rubles).
Young people, who turned out to be 18-19 years old, climbed from one balcony of the hotel in Magaluf to another, and also jumped from the balcony into the pool below it. It is not specified whether these tourists rested together. After the violators were caught, they were expelled from the hotels.
Due to the danger of such behavior, the hotel management decided to fine them according to local laws. Each of the tourists will be required to pay a fine of 30 thousand pounds, which is equivalent to two million rubles. Local authorities noted that such behavior was a health hazard.
Calvia council leader Juan Feliu stressed that the fines are a strong deterrent against reckless behavior that has previously led to injuries and deaths. These crackdowns are intended to improve Magaluf's reputation, which has been tarnished by excessive drinking and rowdy behavior.
The authorities of Magaluf are also determined to counter anti-social behavior in order to care for the image of the resort, which is known for noisy parties, drunkenness and debauchery. A few years ago, Britons visiting Mallorca were even asked to sign a good behavior contract.
